Teisen Reis Greiddell or Rice Griddle Cakes
Ingredients:
- 1 teacupful
flour
- 1 tablespoonful butter
- 2 teaspoonfuls
baking-powder
- 1 teacupful boiled
rice
- 1 teacupful milk
- 1 teaspoonful salt
- 1
egg
Method:
- Mix together rice, melted
butter, salt and well-beaten egg.
- Sieve together baking-powder and
flour, add to mixture and stir well.
- Drop large tablespoonfuls on to
hot greased bakestone or thick frying-pan.
- Cook about four minutes
each side.
- These are delicious served very hot with golden
syrup.
