Deep Fried Oysters or Clams

Ingredients:

  1. 12 Oz. shucked oysters or clams
  2. Vegetable oil
  3. 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  4. 1 tsp Salt
  5. 1/2 tsp Pepper
  6. 2 Eggs, slightly beaten
  7. 3/4 cup Dry bread crumbs

Method:

  1. Heat oil (2 to 3 inches) in frying pan to high (325F)
  2. Mix flour, salt and pepper.
  3. Coat oysters or clams with flour mixture.
  4. Dip into eggs, then coat with bread crumbs.
  5. Fry about 2 minutes or until brown; drain on paper towels.
