Teisen Fel Honey Cake
Ingredients
- 4 oz. honey
- 4 oz brown sugar
- 1/2 lb flour
- 1 tspn cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 4 oz butter or margerine
- a little milk
- 1/2 tspn bicarbonate of soda
- Castor sugar for dredging
Method:
- Seive together flour cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda.
- Cream butter
and sugar.
- Separate egg yolk from white and beat egg yolk into sugar and butter,
then add honey gradually
- Whisk the egg white into a stiff froth and fold into mixture.
- Half fill small patty tins with the mixture; dredge the top of ach with
castor sugar. Bake in hot oven for 20 min.
- When ready sprinkle a little more sugar
