Apple or Eve's Pudding (Pwdin Afal or Awdin Efa)



  1. Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and add the milk a little at a time.
  2. Simmer slowly to make a smooth sauce.
  3. Pour into a bowl and add the sugar, vanilla to taste, and the egg yolks.
  4. Fold in stiffy beaten egg whites.
  5. Grease a pie dish, and cover the bottom with a layer of stewed apples.
  6. Pour the mixture over them and bake for three-quarters of an hour.
