Lemon Whey
Ingredients:
- 2 Lemons
- 1.5 quarts Milk
- Two tsp sifted Sugar
Method:
- Put the milk in a porcelain-lined pan with the rind and
juice of the lemons. Pare the rind very thinly.
- Let. it boil, then simmer by the fire for five minutes.
- Strain either through muslin or a very fine strainer.
- Sweeten with the sugar or to taste.
- Use cold.
