  1. Sift flour measure and sift with baking powder baking soda and salt.
  2. Work in shortening with the finger tips or cut in with 2 spatulas.
  3. Add sufficient whey to form a soft roll dough.
  4. Turn onto lightly floured board. Knead lightly.
  5. Pat into sheet 3/4 inch thick.
  6. Cut with floured cutter.
  7. Place on slightly oiled baking sheet.
  8. Bake in hot oven (450 F) about 10 minutes.
