Quick Icing Recipe
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons liquid (water,
milk, coffee, lemon juice, or orange juice)
- In a medium bowl, stir together until smooth.
- Adjust the consistency
as necessary with more sugar or liquid. It may be piped onto baked goods if a
thick batch is made.
- Color as desired. Store in an airtight container.
Keeps in the refrigerator as long as 1 month, or 4 days at room temperature.
- Cook's Note: This glaze is ideal for icing fresh sweet rolls, pound
cakes, cookies, gingerbread, etc.
